When did you two first meet? I imagine that most couples are asked that at some time or other. In our case the answer may not be all that simple. We may even have met without knowing it in the early 1960's. Anyone who knows me will recall that my life and, later, our lives was/were packed full of coincidences. In the early 60's I was a student down the Mile End Road in east London but living in Leytonstone. Janet was a young mum in the Leytonstone area and always remembered walking Julie in her pram over to the Whipps Cross Ponds. We sometimes wondered whether our paths - quite literally - crossed. I shall never know but it's an intriguing thought.
What I do know, as I jump forwards across the years, is that Janet would want us to concentrate on happy memories. and, of those, there are so many.
